How we can help you boost your confidence

We at aka life coaching have developed a six-session programme for individuals who feel they need to work on their self-confidence.
The programme is individually tailored to each person; however, there are certain core techniques that are used in order to get the best from each person. Each practitioner at aka life coaching is highly trained in many schools of thought, therefore can apply several different techniques, from Coaching, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) EFT (emotional freedom technique) and Hypnotherapy.

Improve Your Confidence

Self-confidence is integral to our lives, and yet so many people find it difficult to capture it, unfortunately this can become a vicious circle as people who lack confidence tend not to stretch themselves and can therefore miss out on potential successes.

Does this ring true for you, do you use up your mental energy wishing you could do one thing or another, but then talk yourself out of it by making internal statements like, “I could never achieve that so I wont bother” or “I am not good enough” or “I don’t have the intelligence “.

This internal dialogue is keeping you from moving on in your life and creating emotional wealth. It maybe holding you back from going for a certain job, starting your own business or even approaching someone you like.

Conversely, confident people also have internal dialogue, but it just sounds different, something like “I can achieve anything I put my mind to” “I am successful because I challenge myself daily” or “I like challenges because they allow me to think outside the box”

Some people think confidence is proportional to a persons abilities, this is not true. People who are extremely talented are not necessarily confident.

There are many reasons as to why people lack confidence, the list is endless, the important thing is how can we turn it around so you can be a confident person and move on in your life and challenge yourself to potential success

Defining Self-Confidence

To put it simply- “Self-confidence is an attitude that is characterized by a positive belief that one can take control of one’s life and of one’s plans”
This definition is not a universal one, but one that for me simply clarifies self-confidence.

What would your life be like if YOU acknowledged your capacity to do something and then had the self-confidence to do it and follow it to the end.
Imagine right now if you didn’t have to rely on the approval of other people in order to affirm your existence, it would be enough that you had the self-confidence to know that you have the capacity and the potential to do something and the gut’s or nerve to do it no matter what others may say.

The great thing about self-confidence is that it can be learned and built upon. Once you learnt their core principles, most people run with it then develop their own individual rules to building confidence. Once a person becomes more confident their potential becomes apparent and doors start opening and life changes for the better. Self-confidence is often the single ingredient that distinguishes a successful person from someone less successful.
